James Conner Expected To Miss Multiple Weeks
one year ago

Arizona Cardinals running back James Conner (knee) is expected to miss multiple weeks with the knee injury that he suffered in the Week 5 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. He will be a candidate to land on Injured Reserve, according to source. If Conner goes on IR, he will be forced to miss at least four games, so fantasy managers need to prepare for an extended absence. Keaontay Ingram (neck) has also missed the last two games, so rookie Emari Demercado was forced into action on Sunday when Conner went down. The 24-year-old saw 10 carries for 45 yards and a touchdown and will be a popular waiver-wire pickup for those that have Conner or are in need of RB reinforcements entering Week 6. Ingram should mix in when he's healthy, and the Cardinals also claimed Tony Jones Jr. off waivers from the Saints on Monday.
