James Conner Expected To Miss "A Little Bit Of Time"
one year ago

Arizona Cardinals head coach Jonathan Gannon isn't completely sure, but he said that it looks like running back James Conner (knee) will miss "a little bit of time." As a result, the Cardinals claimed Tony Jones Jr. off waivers from the New Orleans Saints to give them more depth in the backfield with Keaontay Ingram (neck) missing his second straight game in the Week 5 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals. Fantasy managers need to make plans immediately for a fill-in for Conner in Week 6 against the Los Angeles Rams. If the 28-year-old doesn't suit up, rookie Emari Demercado could serve as Arizona's lead back after touching the ball 11 times for 57 total yards and a rushing touchdown on Sunday when Conner left. It remains to be seen if Ingram will be ready to play this weekend. The Cardinals also have Corey Clement, but he's mostly a special-teams asset.
