Jamaal Williams: Inefficient Week 1 Outing
one year ago

New Orleans Saints running back Jamaal Williams operated as a workhorse on Sunday's 16-15 Week 1 victory with Kendre Miller (ankle) and Alvin Kamara (suspension) inactive. Williams carried the ball 18 yards but gained just 45 yards. He added two receptions for seven yards, pulling together a largely inefficient first game in a Saints uniform. The veteran running back had his best NFL season in 2022, and will have another volume-heavy role in Week 2. Do not move him to the bench yet, as Tennessee has a strong front seven.
