Jamaal Williams Has Small Role In Loss To Jaguars
one year ago

As expected, New Orleans Saints running back Jamaal Williams had a limited role in the 31-24 loss to the Jacksonville Jaguars on Thursday night in his first game back from Injured Reserve. In his first action since injuring his hamstring in Week 2, Williams played just 22 percent of the offensive snaps and had five carries for 14 yards. He was not involved in the passing game. Williams played ahead of rookie Kendre Miller (only three snaps), but he was behind bell-cow back Alvin Kamara by a wide margin, as Kamara had 17 carries and 29 total touches as the workhorse of this offense. The 28-year-old Williams could be more involved in the coming weeks, but he still probably won't have much standalone fantasy appeal as long as Kamara continues to dominate touches in this lackluster offense.
