Jalen Ramsey Reworks His Contract

The Miami Dolphins did a conversion on cornerback Jalen Ramsey's contract on Monday to clear $19.912 million in salary cap space. In addition to Ramsey, the Dolphins also restructured the contracts of tight end Durham Smythe, fullback Alec Ingold and defensive tackle Zach Sieler on Monday to get themselves under the 2024 salary cap. The move to convert the 29-year-old Ramsey's contract means that he'll be staying in Miami this year. The seven-time Pro Bowler only played in 10 games due to injury in his first year with the Dolphins in 2023, recording 22 tackles (18 solo), three interceptions and five passes defensed. Miami is going to need Ramsey to stay healthy in 2024 as their top cover corner in the secondary.
