Jaleel McLaughlin Sees Nine Touches In Loss To Chiefs
one year ago

Denver Broncos undrafted rookie running back Jaleel McLaughlin remained involved in the offense in the Thursday night loss to the Kansas City Chiefs despite the return of Javonte Williams from a quadriceps injury that kept him out in Week 5. McLaughlin carried the ball seven times (three fewer than Williams) for 30 yards (4.3 yards per carry) and also caught both of his targets for an additional 12 yards. The 23-year-old was in more of a complementary role in Week 6, but he is clearly ahead of Samaje Perine on the RB depth chart at this point. Perine didn't have a single carry in this game and lost a fumble late in the game on one of his two receptions. McLaughlin can have standalone fantasy value as an RB3/flex behind Williams, but the Broncos' offense is going to need to play much better than they did on Thursday night.
