Jahmyr Gibbs Racks Up 60 Yards In NFL Debut
one year ago

Detroit Lions rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs rushed seven times for 42 yards and caught both of his targets for 18 yards in the 21-20 win over the Kansas City Chiefs. Fantasy managers were likely expecting more total touches in his NFL debut, but the season is young, and he could see his workload ramp up as the weeks move along. It's worth noting he slipped on a play that looked like it could have been a rushing touchdown, so the performance was close to looking more promising. Ultimately, it's tough to trust him in fantasy lineups until his usage sees an uptick, but the Lions selected him No. 12 overall in the 2023 NFL Draft and will surely feature him heavily at some point this year.
