Jahmyr Gibbs Explodes For 126 Yards, Touchdown
one year ago

Detroit Lions rookie running back Jahmyr Gibbs rushed 11 times for 68 yards and a touchdown and caught nine of his 10 targets for 58 yards in Week 7. In the absence of David Montgomery (ribs), Gibbs was utilized as a workhorse running back. He benefited from the Lions having to play catchup and going to the air often, as the Lions lost to the Ravens 38-6. The talented rookie flashed his fantasy upside in this spot, but he could be relegated to the clear RB2 role again if Montgomery returns next week. Detroit is set to face the Las Vegas Raiders on Monday Night Football in Week 8. If Montgomery is out for that contest, Gibbs will be a virtual must-start.
