Jaguars Unlikely To Have Trevor Lawrence In Week 16
11 months ago

Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence (concussion) missed practice again on Thursday and is now unlikely to play in Week 16 versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers. Head coach Doug Pederson said earlier this week that Lawrence was "progressing well" in the league's concussion protocol, but it apparently hasn't been enough to get him onto the field yet this week. Lawrence still has another day to practice, but fantasy managers right now should be making plans to be without him in Week 16. It seems as though backup C.J. Beathard is going to make the start for the Jaguars this weekend in a must-win game. The Jags are also likely going to be without receiver Zay Jones (hamstring). Beathard making the start under center would be bad news for the entire Jacksonville offense, although they could give the ball more to running back Travis Etienne Jr.
