Ja'Marr Chase Takes Backseat In Win
one year ago

Cincinnati Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase played second fiddle to teammate Tee Higgins in Week 9's 24-18 victory over the Buffalo Bills, but he still placed second in team targets (eight) while corralling four balls for 41 yards. Chase attempted to make a toe-tapping touchdown reception in the end zone during Cincinnati's second possession, but the ball just slipped from his grasp while trying to complete the process. The 23-year-old noticeably got up slowly after being unable to come down with a deep pass in the third quarter, but he didn't require an exit from the game. Chase made a 32-yard grab along the right sideline to salvage his night, which also eventually led to a Bengals field goal in the fourth period. It will be interesting to see if the superstar wideout pops up on the injury report at all this week, but he nonetheless shapes up as a high-end WR1 in a tough matchup, but possible shootout next Sunday versus the Houston Texans.
