Isiah Pacheco - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football
one year ago

Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco will aim to build on a strong Week 1 receiving output in Week 2 versus the Jacksonville Jaguars. The 24-year-old caught four balls for 31 yards despite running only 12 routes, adding 23 more yards over eight carries last Thursday. While Clyde Edwards-Helaire started the season opener, Pacheco led Kansas City's backfield in snaps (31) as the touch leader. Jacksonville had no issue dispatching the Indianapolis Colts' skeleton crew of a backfield last Sunday, and they were more vulnerable to receiving backs than the ground game in 2022. This is probably a shuffle to avoid in Week 2 if possible, but impossible to completely ignore going forward given the potency of KC's offense. The Chiefs could be showcasing Edwards-Helaire for now in an attempt to trade him, which was rumored all offseason. Pacheco is a low-end RB2 at best as long as he's losing occasional base work to CEH and passing-down work plus high-value touches to Jerick McKinnon.
