Isiah Pacheco Doesn’t Start, Catches Four Passes In Loss
one year ago

Kansas City Chiefs running back Isiah Pacheco ran eight times for 23 rushing yards and collected all four of his targets for 31 receiving yards in Thursday's 21-20 loss to the Detroit Lions. Much to the dismay of Pacheco's fantasy managers, it was Clyde Edwards-Helaire who got the starting nod in the backfield on Thursday. It comes on the heels of CEH starting each of KC's three preseason games, so the usage is certainly worth noting going forward. Pacheco may not have the started the contest, but he was the first back on the field for the second half. The 24-year-old walked off slowly while pointing to his hip after a shifty catch-and-run play, but he was right back out there a few drives later. Pacheco led the backfield with 47% of the team's snaps, so he'll remain KC's favorite for carries in Week 2 against the Jacksonville Jaguars.
