Hayden Hurst In The Concussion Protocol

Carolina Panthers tight end Hayden Hurst (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol and is unlikely to be active in Week 11 against the Dallas Cowboys, according to a league source. The good news is that the Panthers could be getting Ian Thomas (calf) back from Injured Reserve this weekend, but the 30-year-old Hurst suffered a concussion in last Thursday's loss to the Chicago Bears and will likely need to miss at least one game. Hurst hasn't done much for fantasy managers in 2023 in his first year in Carolina, catching 18 of 32 targets for 184 yards and one touchdown in nine games played. He should stay on the waiver wire in 12-team leagues for now. If Hurst is inactive this weekend and Thomas remains on IR, Tommy Tremble will have an expanded pass-catching role at the tight end position in Carolina.
