Harrison Butker Looks To Start Rebound From Down Year
one year ago

Kansas City Chiefs kicker Harrison Butker logged a 75.0% field-goal rate last season, which signified the worst clip of his six-year career. After the 28-year-old missed four games with an ankle injury in the early goings, he drilled a 62-yard FG (the longest of 2022) in his Week 6 return. It's worth mentioning the Chiefs only went for it on fourth down 12 times a year ago, which was tied for the second-lowest mark in football. The Detroit Lions ranked 10th in fantasy points per game to kickers (5.76), but much of that had to do with their failure to resist touchdowns, leading to fewer FG tries. Weather should not a play factor whatsoever on Thursday and few kickers play in an offense as potent as KC's, justifying Butker as a top-tier option for Week 1 in a game that could feature scoring in bunches.
