Giants Optimistic About Daniel Jones Playing In Week 6
one year ago

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll said he doesn't have the results of quarterback Daniel Jones' (neck) X-rays or scans yet, but he said that he's "optimistic" about Jones possibly playing in Week 6 against the Buffalo Bills this Sunday. Jones has taken 17 sacks in the last two games behind a beat up and overmatched offensive line, so it might be smart for the Giants to just give Jones an extra week of rest instead of facing a talented Bills defense. If Jones is inactive against Buffalo, Tyrod Taylor would fill in for his first start of the year. The 26-year-old Jones hasn't had much chance behind this offensive line through the first five weeks of the year. He's thrown just two touchdown passes and won't be a recommended fantasy play in single-QB leagues against the Bills if he ends up suiting up.
