Giants Officially Name Tommy DeVito The Starter For Week 10

New York Giants undrafted rookie quarterback Tommy Devito will start in Week 10 against the division-rival Dallas Cowboys on Sunday, according to head coach Brian Daboll. Matt Barkley will serve as his backup with Daniel Jones (knee) done for the year with a torn ACL and Tyrod Taylor (ribs) on Injured Reserve. DeVito will be making his first career NFL start on the road against a strong defense, so nobody should be expecting much from him, especially with limited pass-catching options at his disposal. In two relief appearances this year, he's completed 17 of his 27 passing attempts for 174 yards, a touchdown and two interceptions. If he struggles mightily, we could see Barkley under center for the Giants sooner than later.
