Giants Expected To Roll With Tommy DeVito Under Center
one year ago

With New York Giants quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) now out for the year after tearing his right ACL in the Week 9 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders, the Giants are expected to roll with undrafted rookie Tommy Devito as their starting QB. "He's a natural born leader. He's a true competitor and I have a lot of respect for him," head coach Brian Daboll said. Daboll also said he's not looking too far into the future at the QB position given Jones' injury, and the head coach's focus right now is "getting DeVito ready to go" and getting Matt Barkley up to speed after they recently signed him to their practice squad. All signs point to DeVito making the start under center in Week 10 against the Dallas Cowboys with Tyrod Taylor (ribs) also injured. For as long as DeVito is starting in New York, he'll be a desperation low-end QB2 option for fantasy managers in superflex leagues.
