Giants Confirm Torn ACL For Daniel Jones
one year ago

New York Giants head coach Brian Daboll confirmed on Monday that quarterback Daniel Jones (knee) suffered a torn right ACL during the Week 9 loss to the Las Vegas Raiders on Sunday. In his first game back after missing three games with a neck injury, Jones' right knee buckled in a non-contact injury, ending his 2023 season. After he put up the best season of his career in 2022, the 26-year-old will end this year with a career-high 67.5 completion percentage on only 160 pass attempts for 909 yards, two touchdowns and six interceptions in six games played. The injury comes after he signed a four-year, $160 million extension back in March with $35.5 million guaranteed next year. Veteran Tyrod Taylor (ribs) missed Week 9 due to injury and could remain out moving forward, so the G-Men may have no choice but to roll with undrafted rookie Tommy Devito until Taylor is healthy again.
