Gerald Everett Does Very Little In Win Over Jets
one year ago

Other than Los Angeles Chargers running back Austin Ekeler finding the end zone twice, nobody on the offense really did much in Monday night's 27-6 win over the New York Jets. Tight end Gerald Everett caught both of his targets for 18 yards on a night where quarterback Justin Herbert threw for a season-low 136 yards on 30 attempts. The weak game for Everett snapped a string of two straight games with a touchdown for the 29-year-old tight end. After eight weeks, Everett ranks 22nd among tight ends with 5.7 half-PPR fantasy points per game in seven contests. However, he could be in line for a bounce-back opportunity in Week 10 against the Detroit Lions in a game that should feature much more offense from the Bolts. Receiver Joshua Palmer (knee) will miss at least three more games while on Injured Reserve, too.
