Geno Smith Steals Win In Week 8
one year ago

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith completed 23-of-37 passes for 254 yards, two touchdowns, and two interceptions in Seattle's victory over the Cleveland Browns on Sunday. Smith's first touchdown came on the Seahawks' second drive of the game, throwing a 12-yard strike to wide receiver Tyler Lockett. From there, Smith and the Seattle offense sputtered along with the quarterback tossing interceptions in the second and third quarters and nearly losing a fumble in the fourth quarter. He recovered well on Seattle's last series of the game, running an effective two-minute drill that resulted in the go-ahead touchdown thrown to Jaxon Smith-Njigba. Week 8 was a microcosm of Smith's inconsistent performance so far this season, and Week 9 does not hold promise of improvement when the Seahawks take on the Baltimore Ravens.
