Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith completed 23 of 33 pass attempts for 290 yards and a touchdown in their 30-23 loss to the Pittsburgh Steelers. He also added 33 yards on the ground on three carries, including one rush that went for a season-high gain of 25 yards. Smith found receiver DK Metcalf for big gains of 33, 32, and 21 yards and finished with eight completions that went for 15 yards or more. Smith held his own against the Steelers' aggressive pass rush until he fell victim to a strip sack midway through the fourth quarter, his one miscue of the day. The 33-year-old regained his composure on the Seahawks' final drive of the game, completing six consecutive pass attempts but failed to connect on his final three shots at the end zone.
