Geno Smith Has A QB2 Ceiling In Week 8
one year ago

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith has had an up-and-down season thus far in 2023. Through his first four games, Smith threw five touchdowns and only one interception but twice barely made it past 100 passing yards. In Week 7 against the Arizona Cardinals, he had his second multiple-touchdown game of the season but also committed two turnovers for the second week in a row. In Week 8, Smith will be up against one of the best defensive units in the league when the Seahawks host the Cleveland Browns. The Browns have allowed the league's fewest passing yards (895), lowest completion rate (53.8%), and rank second in time of possession, meaning less time for Smith and company to put up their own numbers. It looks like another QB2 finish will be a best-case scenario for Smith on Sunday.
