Geno Smith Draws A Decent Matchup In Week 7
one year ago

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith gets a chance to set things right in Week 7 as the team hosts the Arizona Cardinals on Sunday. The 33-year-old signal-caller reached the 300-yard mark in Week 6 against the Cincinnati Bengals, but he couldn't find the end zone, threw two interceptions, and was sacked four times. Smith has struggled all season behind an offensive line that yields pressure at a greater rate than another team in the league, leading to harried play on Smith's part. The Cardinals have been one of the more generous defenses to opposing quarterbacks, allowing four QB1 finishes through the first six weeks of the season. Given his performance so far and the fact that DK Metcalf (hip, ribs) is a game-time decision, it will be hard to trust Smith as anything more than a high-end QB2 in Week 7.
