Geno Smith Added To Injury Report With Groin Issue
12 months ago

Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith (groin) was added to the Week 14 injury report on Thursday due to a groin injury that kept him limited in practice. Mid-week additions to the injury report aren't the greatest of signs, but we'll have a better idea of how serious Smith's groin injury is after the team's practice on Friday. If it's serious enough to keep him sidelined this weekend, backup Drew Lock would make the start for Seattle. The 33-year-old Smith bounced back in a big way in last Thursday's loss to the Dallas Cowboys, throwing for 334 yards and a season-high three touchdowns, but fantasy managers shouldn't expect an encore in Week 14 if he plays against the division-rival San Francisco 49ers. Smith went for 180 yards, no TDs and an interception just two weeks ago on Thanksgiving night in the first meeting with San Fran and their elite defense.
