Gabe Davis - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football
one year ago

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis logged a quiet two-catch, 32-yard line in a daunting Week 1 matchup against the New York Jets. After failing to find much separation in that rigid draw, the 24-year-old should find himself less restrained in a much more forgiving setting versus the unimposing Las Vegas Raiders secondary in Week 2's home opener. Bills head coach Sean McDermott subtlety referenced Davis on Tuesday in saying "we probably didn't get it as much as we would have liked to yesterday" as it pertained to a No. 2 WR option in Monday's season opener. It could lend credence to something of a squeaky wheel narrative for Davis, or perhaps open the door for another Bills wideout to step up alongside Stefon Diggs. Davis remains his usual boom-or-bust WR3 self versus a Raiders team, traveling across the country, that may not force quarterback Josh Allen to push the envelope if Buffalo gets out to a lead.
