Gabe Davis Seeking Consistency In Week 8
one year ago

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis suggested he was making a jump into weekly WR2 discussions with a four-game touchdown streak from Weeks 2 to 5, but he's hit a brick wall in his latest outings. Davis has a combined four catches for 27 yards and a lost fumble in the subsequent games from his scoring spree. The inconsistent 24-year-old runs plenty of routes (242), but 35 targets on that volume checks out to an unreliable 14.5% target rate. Davis aims to return to form in Week 8 versus a Tampa Bay Buccaneers defense that is surrendering the sixth-most average passing yards (246.7). Davis hit paydirt in his lone career appearance against the Bucs, netting a 5/43/1 receiving line in 2021. Fantasy managers would probably be satisfied with a similar outcome, and Davis remains a perpetual boom-or-bust, big-play-reliant WR3 with no teams on a Week 8 bye.
