Gabe Davis Keeps Rolling In Week 5
one year ago

Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis caught 6-of-8 targets for 100 yards and a touchdown in Week 5's 25-20 defeat to the Jacksonville Jaguars. You won't find it in the box score, but Davis committed a costly drop to stall out a third-quarter drive near midfield after Stefon Diggs came down with a 48-yard bomb. Davis then had a nine-yard touchdown reception called back on an offensive pass interference, only for quarterback Josh Allen to go right back to him for a 19-yard score on the ensuing play. With Buffalo in catch-up mode, the 24-year-old deep threat made a nifty 29-yard catch along the sideline to get them in a goal-to-go. We continue deeming Davis an eternal boom-or-bust WR3, but he is certainly making plays when granted chances and possesses a clear nose for the end zone. He'll be on the higher end of the FLEX spectrum, at worst, next Sunday night versus the floundering New York Giants.
