Gabe Davis Carries Upside Against Bengals
one year ago

Up until Week 8, it had been the type of year we've come to expect out of Buffalo Bills wide receiver Gabe Davis. Davis found the end zone in four straight games from Weeks 2 through 5 but logged 32 yards or fewer in his three other contests. Last Thursday versus the Tampa Bay Buccaneers, however, the 24-year-old deep threat played all of Buffalo's offensive snaps and caught 9-of-12 targets for 87 yards and a touchdown on 44 routes. It was the most fantasy-friendly Davis' role has perhaps ever looked during his erratic career, and it helped put him on a career-best 16-game pace of 62 catches on 94 targets (66.6% catch rate), 868 yards, and 10 scores. It's a small sample size, but Davis is the owner of a shiny 12/258/3 receiving line in his past two games without Dawson Knox (wrist, IR) since 2022. Perhaps holding a higher floor sans Knox, Davis looks like a high-ceiling WR3 in a Week 9 showdown with the Cincinnati Bengals that carries a 50.5-point implied total.
