Falcons Request To Interview Ejiro Evero, Mike MacDonald

The Atlanta Falcons have requested permission to interview Carolina Panthers defensive coordinator Ejiro Evero and Baltimore Ravens defensive coordinator Mike MacDonald for their head-coaching job, according to a league source. In addition to the Falcons, the Tennessee Titans, Washington Commanders, Panthers and Los Angeles Chargers are interested in MacDonald for their head-coaching jobs, so he's quite a popular name this hiring cycle. Evero led a defensive unit in Carolina in 2023 that was impressive despite the team's poor 2-15 record. Their defense ranked No. 4 in yards allowed and third in total passing defense. MacDonald was just as impressive in leading Baltimore's D to first in points allowed and sixth in yards per game allowed.
