Falcons Request To Interview Antonio Pierce

The Atlanta Falcons have requested permission to interview Las Vegas Raiders interim head coach Antonio Pierce for their head-coaching job, according to sources. Pierce interviewed for the Tennessee Titans' head-coaching gig on Saturday. The Raiders have not conducted any known head-coach interviews to this point, but it was reported on Saturday that Pierce is the leading candidate to become the full-time head coach for 2024 and beyond. At this point, it would be a surprise if Pierce didn't stay in Vegas, but that's not stopping other teams from checking him out. The 45-year-old former linebacker took over for the Raiders after Josh McDaniels was fired on Halloween and went 5-4 to close out the year as the interim head coach, including wins over all three of the team's AFC West rivals. Raiders players, most notably edge rusher Maxx Crosby and receiver Davante Adams, have been vocal in their support for Pierce getting the promotion.
