Emari Demercado Misses Practice With Toe Injury

Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Emari Demercado (toe) did not take part in Wednesday's practice. Demercado has been Arizona's primary RB in the three games that James Conner (knee) has missed while on Injured Reserve. The 24-year-old will likely have just one more shot for an elevated workload out of Arizona's backfield in Week 9 in a tough matchup against the Cleveland Browns. He'll need to get back on the practice field later this week first, though. Demercado hasn't found the end zone in his rookie year, but he has racked up 171 scrimmage yards on 41 touches the last three contests. If he's limited at all or out on Sunday, Keaontay Ingram would become the Cardinals' lead back against the Browns. Veteran Damien Williams (foot) landed on IR this week.
