Emari Demercado Getting Closer To A Return

Arizona Cardinals rookie running back Emari Demercado (toe) was limited in practice to begin Week 12 preparations on Wednesday. Demercado also put in a couple limited practices last week but still missed his third straight game in the Week 11 loss to the Houston Texans. If he can upgrade to a full practice session on Thursday or Friday, the 24-year-old will have a good shot at being active once again on game day this Sunday versus the division-rival Los Angeles Rams. The last time we saw Demercado he was serving as Arizona's starting running back. However, James Conner is now back from Injured Reserve and is operating as the clear bell-cow back, which will leave little else for Demercado and others in Arizona's backfield. Demercado won't have any standalone fantasy value if he's back this weekend.
