Elijah Mitchell Downgraded To No Activity
11 months ago

San Francisco 49ers running back Elijah Mitchell (knee) did not practice on Thursday. It's not a promising sign for Mitchell, who was downgraded from limited to DNP status on Thursday with a knee injury. The third-year runner's availability is now swaying in the wrong direction for Sunday's matchup with the division-rival Arizona Cardinals, with one more chance to return to practice on Friday. Even if he is inactive in Week 15, however, Mitchell remains a strong luxury bench stash in fantasy football behind the oft-injured Christian McCaffrey for the stretch run. Jordan Mason handled four carries for 20 yards and a touchdown with a six-yard catch as McCaffrey's breather back last Sunday against the Seattle Seahawks, and he would be in line to occupy a similar role this Sunday if Mitchell cannot suit up.
