Eagles Will Designate Avonte Maddox To Return

Philadelphia Eagles cornerback Avonte Maddox (pectoral) will soon be designated to return from injured reserve, according to Josh Tolentino of the Philadelphia Enquirer. Once official, this move will open Maddox's practice window, giving him 21 days to practice without being officially activated from injured reserve. If Philadelphia doesn't activate him by the end of that 21-day window, his season will be over, though Tolentino notes that the Eagles "are hopeful" he plays again this year. Maddox has been sidelined since Week 2. Through less than two full games, he registered eight tackles and one forced fumble.
