Eagles Evaluating Boston Scott For Concussion
one year ago

Philadelphia Eagles running back Boston Scott (head) left Thursday's game with a head injury and is being evaluated for a possible concussion. The 28-year-old rushed for 18 yards near the end of the first half and wasn't seen thereafter. Rashaad Penny made a cameo on special teams and also saw three carries for nine yards plus one catch for five yards after he departed. Scott ran five times for 40 yards before coming out while D'Andre Swift rumbled for 175 ground yards and a score. Scott will have 11 days to pass concussion protocol before Week 3's tilt with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers next Monday. Penny figures to occupy Scott's change-of-pace role if he misses, but Philly's backfield could also get Kenneth Gainwell (ribs) back for that one.
