Eagles Defense - Week 2 Outlook for Fantasy Football
one year ago

The Philadelphia Eagles defense will host the Minnesota Vikings in the team's home opener Thursday night. They came out strong last week, opening the game with a pick-six by corner Darius Slay, which helped get the Eagles out to a quick 16-0 lead. New England started to throw the ball well against them in the second half, but the pressure was constant. Philadelphia was able to generate two sacks, seven quarterback hits, and defended 10 passes. Minnesota quarterback Kirk Cousins will need to get the ball out quickly if he wants to stand a chance against the Eagles front. However, that will be tough to do with their starting center Garrett Bradbury (back) out and left tackle Christian Darrisaw (ankle) questionable. Even with the expected high point total, Philadelphia's defense should be considered a top-10 option in Week 2.
