Durham Smythe Not Targeted On Sunday Night
one year ago

It was a disappointing night for Miami Dolphins tight end Durham Smythe in the 31-17 loss to the Philadelphia Eagles on Sunday Night Football, as he wasn't targeted at all in Week 7. Smythe is well off the fantasy radar, even in one of the most prolific passing offenses in the NFL. The 28-year-old has just one target in the last three contests and zero receiving yards. It's hard to fathom after he caught 11 of his 15 targets for 123 yards and no touchdowns in the first four games of the season for Miami. He played 92 percent of the offensive snaps in Week 7, but he's been asked to serve as a blocker much more ever since offensive tackle Terron Armstead (knee) was injured in Week 4. Smythe should eventually get more involved once Armstead is able to return, but fantasy managers can look elsewhere for TE depth.
