Durham Smythe Misses Practice Thursday

Miami Dolphins tight end Durham Smythe (ankle) was unable to practice with the rest of the team on Thursday. Smythe apparently injured his ankle in the Week 13 win over the Washington Commanders and is now up in the air to play on Monday Night Football in Week 14 against the Tennessee Titans. Fantasy managers shouldn't be considering Smythe at all in a starting spot to begin with, though, as he's caught only 18 passes for 178 yards and no touchdowns for Miami in 2023 on 25 targets. If Smythe doesn't get cleared to play against Tennessee, the Dolphins will turn to some combination of rookie Julian Hill and Tyler Kroft at the tight end position. Neither player would be worth a look as a fantasy streamer, as the Dolphins just haven't used their tight ends much in 2023.
