Durham Smythe In Walking Boot
one year ago

Miami Dolphins tight end Durham Smythe (foot) is walking around fine in a boot after getting hurt in the Week 8 win over the New England Patriots, according to head coach Mike McDaniel. The head coach also said Smythe is "as tough as they come," but he also added that he "will battle through that." We'll have a better idea of whether the 28-year-old will be able to play in Week 9 against the Kansas City Chiefs after the Dolphins get back to practice later this week. Smythe has been off the fantasy radar this year and had three catches for 28 yards before his injury in Sunday's game. If he's forced to miss time, rookie Julian Hill and Tyler Kroft would have expanded roles in the passing game, but neither are worth a speculative waiver-wire pickup.
