Duane Brown Returns To Practice
one year ago

New York Jets offensive tackle Duane Brown (hip, shoulder) has returned to practice this week, opening up his 21-day practice window to be activated from Injured Reserve. When Brown does come off IR, the Jets may put him back at left tackle and move Mekhi Becton back to right tackle. "Where we are right now, we have to make sure the best five are on the field," head coach Robert Saleh said. When healthy, Brown is probably one of the team's best five offensive lineman, so he should be guaranteed a starting spot on the O-line whenever he returns to game action, which could come as soon as Monday night against the Los Angeles Chargers. Saleh hinted that Brown wasn't 100% healthy at the start of the regular season and the Jets may have rushed him back after he was on the Physically Unable to Perform list for most of training camp.
