Dontayvion Wicks Held Out Of Thanksgiving Game
12 months ago

Green Bay Packers rookie wide receiver Dontayvion Wicks (concussion, knee) and tight end Josiah Deguara (hip) are inactive for the Thanksgiving game against the Detroit Lions on Thursday. Wicks didn't have much of a chance to play on a short week after banging up his knee and suffering a concussion in the Week 11 win over the Los Angeles Chargers on Sunday. The 22-year-old was coming off the best performance of his first NFL season, too, leading the Packers with 91 receiving yards against the Bolts. In his absence, Malik Heath, Samori Toure and Bo Melton will battle for the No. 4 role in Green Bay's offense behind Christian Watson, Romeo Doubs and rookie Jayden Reed. Wicks is mainly a stash candidate in very deep leagues dynasty/keeper formats in 2023. He will look to get cleared from his injuries in order to play in Week 13 against the Kansas City Chiefs.
