Dolphins Restructure Bradley Chubb's Contract
8 months ago

The Miami Dolphins restructured the contract of outside linebacker Bradley Chubb (knee) on Tuesday by converting $13.75 million of his base salary this year into a signing bonus. The move creates an extra $11 million in 2024 salary cap space for the team. In his first full season with the Dolphins in 2023, Chubb started 16 games before tearing his ACL late in the season. Because of the timing of the injury, there's a good chance he won't be ready for the start of the 2024 campaign this fall. In his 16 starts, the 27-year-old former fifth overall pick by the Denver Broncos in 2018 out of North Carolina State had 73 tackles (45 solo), 11 sacks, 11 tackles for loss, 22 QB hits, a league-high six forced fumbles and two fumble recoveries. Because of his knee injury, Chubb's IDP fantasy value will take a hit in 2024.
