Dolphins Acquire Chase Claypool From Bears
one year ago

The Miami Dolphins acquired wide receiver Chase Claypool and a seventh-round draft pick in 2025 from the Chicago Bears on Friday in exchange for a sixth-round pick in 2025, according to league sources. Claypool quickly wore out his welcome in Chicago after being acquired from the Pittsburgh Steelers midseason last year. The 25-year-old Notre Dame product was a healthy scratch each of the last two games for the Bears and four catches for 51 yards and a touchdown in three games this year. Tyreek Hill and Jaylen Waddle are the two unquestioned leaders of the receiver room in Miami, but Claypool offers intriguing size and speed to an already explosive offense. He will be competing with Braxton Berrios, Robbie Chosen and Cedrick Wilson Jr. for playing time once he gets up to speed.
