DeVonta Smith Has Another Disappointing Outing In Week 7
one year ago

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith caught four of five targets for 49 yards during the team's 31-17 win over the Miami Dolphins. It was the fourth time this season the 24-year-old saw just five targets and his third week in a row with fewer than 50 receiving yards. Smith spent some time out of practice this past week due to a hamstring injury, and that may have played a factor in his performance, but it is clear that he is on a cold streak at the moment. Philadelphia attempted to get the former Heisman winner involved early, but it did not amount to much. Perhaps the team will look to feature Smith a bit more in their rematch with the Washington Commanders next week, but with A.J. Brown dominating at the moment, it is tough to project a massive game for the Eagles No. 2 wide receiver. Smith will be considered a WR2 in Week 8.
