DeVonta Smith Dealing With Hamstring Injury
one year ago

Philadelphia Eagles wide receiver DeVonta Smith (hamstring) is dealing with a hamstring injury and didn't practice on Wednesday during the team's walkthrough. The Eagles didn't hold a full practice to begin the week, so Thursday will be a much more important day for Smith as the team heads into a Week 7 showdown against the Miami Dolphins. The 24-year-old former first-rounder scored touchdowns in back-to-back weeks to kick off the 2023 season, but he hasn't found the end zone since. He had just one catch for six yards in Week 5 but bounced back with five receptions for 44 yards in the Week 6 loss to the New York Jets. Smith is a must-start in fantasy leagues when he's on the field, but keep a close eye on his status the rest of the week. If Smith is unable to play in Week 7, Olamide Zaccheaus would become the No. 2 in Philly behind A.J. Brown.
