DeVante Parker Not Spotted At Thursday's Practice
one year ago

New England Patriots wide receiver DeVante Parker (concussion) was not spotted at practice for the second straight day on Thursday. Parker suffered a concussion in the Week 8 loss to the Miami Dolphins and remains in the NFL's concussion protocol. Given the 30-year-old's previous history with head injuries, it seems likely that he won't be given the green light to suit up in Week 9 against the Washington Commanders. Kendrick Bourne (knee) suffered a season-ending torn ACL last Sunday as well, so the Patriots' struggling offense is expected to move forward with JuJu Smith-Schuster, rookie Demario Douglas and Jalen Reagor as their starters in three-wide sets. Second-year man Tyquan Thornton and rookie Kayshon Boutte should see expanded roles as well.
