DeVante Parker Not Practicing
one year ago

New England Patriots wide receiver DeVante Parker (concussion) didn't take part in practice on Wednesday. Parker suffered a concussion in the Week 8 loss to the Miami Dolphins on a helmet-to-helmet collision and as of right now is looking unlikely to play in Week 9 against the Washington Commanders. The Pats also lost their leading receiver, Kendrick Bourne (knee), to a season-ending torn ACL last Sunday, so they could be very short-handed in the receiver room this weekend and moving forward. If Parker is unable to clear the league's concussion protocol this week, JuJu Smith-Schuster, rookie Demario Douglas and Jalen Reagor are expected to operate in three-wide sets, with Tyquan Thornton and rookie Kayshon Boutte potentially being active as depth.
