DeVante Parker In Concussion Protocol
one year ago

New England Patriots wide receiver DeVante Parker (concussion) is in the league's concussion protocol after taking a helmet-to-helmet hit in the Week 8 loss to the Miami Dolphins on Sunday. With Kendrick Bourne (knee) now out for the season with a torn ACL, JuJu Smith-Schuster, who had fallen to fifth on the depth chart on Sunday, could ris on the receiver depth chart. Rookie Demario Davis will also see an increase in his role, as could Tyquan Thornton, who was a healthy scratch in Week 8. Kayshon Boutte, a rookie sixth-rounder out of LSU, is another possibility to see a bigger role in New England. He hasn't played since the season opener. Parker, 30, caught two passes for 14 yards before his head injury on Sunday. It remains to be seen if he'll pass the concussion protocol in order to play in Week 9 against the Washington Commanders.
