Deshaun Watson Not Practicing Wednesday
one year ago

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson (shoulder) is not practicing on Wednesday. Watson suffered a right rotator-cuff contusion in Week 3 and was held out of action in Week 4 before the team's bye in Week 5. Even with a week off to rest, the 28-year-old signal-caller isn't a lock to return this weekend to face the San Francisco 49ers and their vaunted defense. Watson is considered day-to-day for now, but we should have a better idea of his status for Sunday's game after the Browns conduct two more practices on Thursday and Friday. Even if Watson makes his return in Week 6, he'll be a QB1 to fade in a terrible matchup coming off injury. If Watson misses a second straight game, the Browns are going to go with P.J. Walker at QB over rookie Dorian Thompson-Robinson.
