Deshaun Watson Looks Poised To Start In Week 9
one year ago

Cleveland Browns quarterback Deshaun Watson (shoulder) took all the repetitions in the early part of practice on Friday open to the media, and The Cleveland Plain Dealer's Mary Kay Cabot writes that Watson looks poised to start in Week 9 against the Arizona Cardinals. Watson aggravated his sprained right rotator cuff in Week 7 and missed another game in last week's loss to the Seattle Seahawks. He said earlier this week he was unsure if he'd be able to play this weekend, but things appear to be looking up for him to return under center this Sunday. However, there's a good chance he'll be listed as questionable on the final injury report, so we may not have anymore clarity on whether he'll actually play until Sunday morning. If Watson isn't cleared, P.J. Walker would make yet another start for Cleveland.
